Hues of imperfection #Poetry

image

Green barks and orange boughs
Mask the reddish leaves peeping out like newborn egrets.

Purple shrubs and magenta saplings
Show me a world of immense possibility.

Life isn’t about perfect colours;
Sometimes though, you do find butterflies.

*I found this old colouring sheet in my daughter’s file and began shading it for fun. Halfway through, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try different colours. The effect was therapeutic.

  1. I love coloring and drawing!! No wonder adult coloring books are becoming a extremely popular these days as it is therapeutic πŸ™‚
    the verses are soooo beautiful… gorgeous imagery.

  2. The artist Paul Gauguin said “If you see a tree as blue, then paint it blue.” I always liked his way of seeing things…the openness in that view. πŸ™‚
