Anything you want- #FridayFictioneers

So, we’re here, finally! Aren’t you excited?

Greg threw the gear shift into neutral and looked expectantly over at Louise.

Her thinly pursed lips made him nervous. Eagerly, he swung his legs out of the car and dashed around to her door, yanking it open. Come on, darling. It’s your dream destination. We can buy whatever you want. Name it and it’s yours.

Really, Dad? said Louise, her face breaking into a bittersweet smile.

Absolutely! exclaimed Greg.

Well, I doubt that.

Pshaw! I promise.

Fine. I want the last 14 years back. Right from the moment you left us behind.

  1. The last sentence speaks volumes of Lousie’s maturity and the pain she suffered of the estrangement. Well done shailaja.

  2. Oh! That was so sad 🙁
Lost time is hard to make up. Though, I wish they do mend their bridges…
