Her raised eyebrow was meant to throw him off balance; her crossed arms indicated she was begging for a fight. But he wasn’t about to fall for it.
“Come on, Linda. It’s not like that,” he drawled in that heavy, seductive tone that drove women crazy.
“John, I need to know. I’m a big girl. I can take it. I don’t have to put up with this. Tell me now. How much more do you love me than your wife?”
“You are so zero-sum in your thinking. Just because I love you doesn’t mean I love her less.”

I absolutely loved reading your micro fiction all through the challenge. The twists at the end of each story were a treat to read… even before I would start reading, I used to wonder about how it’s going to end.
I don’t think I’ve heard of that oxymoron before. Can’t trust anyone who cheats on their partner.
